A concrete and formwork worker works with in-situ concrete: assembling formwork, reinforcing the structure where needed and pouring concrete. The formwork is then removed and the surface checked and, if needed, finished. The work is team-based and physical, and the accuracy of the formwork decides the geometry of the finished structure.

What the work involves
- Producing in-situ concrete structures to plan, including exposed concrete (Sichtbeton).
- Installing and removing formwork.
- Assembling and dismantling formwork.
- Rebar work: tying, installing embedded elements, starter bars, anchors and sleeves, working with joints and splices.
- Setting up and levelling metal and timber formwork.
- Preparing the formwork for concrete pours.
